Organic abstract ebonised sculpture. Part of studio collection of Roland LAVIANNE (1948-2022). More than 20 original wood and stone sculptures. This collection was acquired in collaboration with 'Igmar Stuer ancient objects' (Aalst - Belgium) and PSCH Antiques(Paul Bert market, Paris Saint-Ouen) Simplifying the features in the extreme, Roland LAVIANNE develops a powerful play on volumes, shapes and lines, using the light as a key construction material. Roland LAVIANNE conveying a real mastery of the balance of volumes and lines of force. The figures, immobile but dynamic, seems lost in a theatrical conversation suspended for ever.

'Cathedral' sculpture by Ronald Mariën

'Cathedral' is a sculpture made up of a wooden grid in which curved wooden slats are attached. The wooden slats are fixed with wooden blocks, which gives a wabisabi feeling to this work of art. The artist also likes to work with shadows, when you light the artwork you get a beautiful spectacle projected on the wall. Ronald Mariën born in Lier (Belgium) in 1953, is an artist and scientist, at the moment he mainly makes abstract sculptures from mostly recycled materials (such as wood), almost all his artworks are made from curved wooden slats which are steamed in a homemade oven designed by Ronald himself.

Bluestone sculpture by Hubert Boeraeve

Large sculpture made of Belgian bluestone by Hubert Boeraeve (Ostend Belgium 1950). This sculpture shows a human figure with hanging shoulders and head. The sculpture is a nice contrast between smooth and rough surfaces, and has a nice balance between fine and robust parts. Hubert Boeraeve makes sculptures in stone and wood, he tries to show us figures in a non figurative way. A lot of his artworks are inspired by humanity. This artwork was made early 1980' s.

Old wall lamp 'Vitra Potence' by Jean Prouvé. Designed as a pivoting wall lamp for the 'Maison Tropique', Potence (1950) is regarded as one of Jean Prouvé's puristic masterpieces. Jean Prouvé (8 April 1901 – 23 March 1984) was a French architect, furniture and industrial designer. He applied production technology in architecture, without losing aesthetic qualities. His design qualities were not limited to one discipline, but he expressed them in architectural, industrial, construction and furniture design.
