Postmodernist wallsculptures made of glass, painted paper, prints and hardboard. The glass was build up in several forms like squares, circles, triangles etc. and has a sculptural surface. Behind the glass there is a combination of paint and prints mounted on hardboard, this mixed media artwork follows the design of the sculptural glass in front of it, which makes one piece of art from it. These pieces were made in the 1980s for a hotel in Utrecht (NL), the artist is unknown.

1960s low table made by Roger Capron for Vallauris. Wooden frame covered with ceramic tiles and decorated with botanical prints.

Large Moroccan Tamegroute jug

Very large vintage Moroccan Tamegroute jug. Tamegroute is a region in Morocco, well known for the typical green glazed handmade ceramics. This jug was made in terracotta. Very nice patina and structure, at some places you see prints of the fingers of the artist.

Large stoneware brutalist vase

Very large stoneware brutalist vase, France 1960s-1970s. Not signed, in perfect condition. Beautiful glazed with blue, white, grey, green colors.

Floor lamp by Louis Sognot 1960

A bamboo and woven rattan floor lamp designed by Louis Sognot (1892-1970), France, 1960s. Six bamboo poles work as external scaffolding for the off-white, linen lampshade. The lampshade is suspended by subtle stitched cotton loops between two woven rattan rings. This wooden ‘exoskeleton’ ensures that all materials are on display and equally appreciated, whilst also conveying a harmony between the unrefined texture of the bamboo and the fabric. Louis Sognot worked on many projects together with Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Jeanneret and Le Corbusier. He was also founder of the 'Salon du meuble Paris'.

Terracotta bowl sculpture - Anita Tullio

Explosive and brut terracotta artwork by Anita Tullio (Paris 1935-2014). This piece was made for the exposition 'Trianon de bagatelle' in 1985. Anita Tullio was a Parisian artist with an atelier at Montparnasse. She created a universe populated by constellations and volcanic spheres surrounded by faults, all proof of an infinite exploration of earth matter. Several works from Anita Tullio are still in collections of musea in France, for example 'Centre Pompidou' Paris.

Vintage kinetic 'neon' sculpture made of 3 glass rings filled with neon gas. This piece of light art was made by Belgian filmset decorator Dumont for a publicity movie at Brussels in the 1980's.

Couple of anthropomorphic sculptures by Begga D' Haese

Couple of anthropomorphic sculptures in Afzelia wood by Begga D’Haese (1934 – 2023). Younger sister of Reinhoud D'Haese who was part of the nursery of the Cobra group in the 1950s and Roel D'Haese who is considered the greatest Flemish surrealist sculptor, Begga had to make a name for himself. From 1969 she start working on monumental sculptures, from which @igmarstuer and @pschantiques offer today three original and unique examples. The three are signed on the bottom. Carved in Afselia wood and resting on a base in blue stone. Around 1980. Dimensions of works smaller piece 195 x 21 x 13,5 larger piece 195 x 30 x12 Only available as a pair

Pair of plaster modernist female sculptures

Pair of modernist plaster sculptures depicting female figures. The plaster has got a very beautiful patina through the years. The sculptures are a combination of strong lines and solid forms. They are unsigned, Belgium 1970s.

Sculptural console table by Idir Mecibah (Belgium 1958 - 2003)

Sculptural forged metal console table made by artist Idir Mecibah (Antwerp Belgium 1958 - 2003). This table is handforged with a very nice contrast between solid design and raw structures on the forged metal. The tabletop is patinated in a dark red colour with a square of gold leaf in the middle, this gives the table in combination with the solid design and raw structures an organic chique look. Idir Mecibah was a very talented artist and designer, he worked together with the Belgian design brand Durlet. This table was produced by smederij Moerman in 1996 and is a unique piece. Signed and dated by the artist on the tabletop.
